Thank you so much for deciding to stay at our home! The state of Vermont holds a special place in our hearts. The tranquility, beautiful vistas, and outdoor recreation have always appealed to us. We love to hike Mt. Ascutney, ski the slopes, canoe, or go fishing in the Black River. In 2017, we decided to purchase this beautiful waterfront home.

While the home was lovingly cared for, it's 100+ year age was showing wear and tear. We gutted the interior of the home; salvaged and restored what we could. With great attention to detail, we maximized the river views and created a space that would appeal to families. We named this home "Lumitalo," which means snow house in Finnish. During the Vermont winter months, the home very much resembles a snow house. The name is very apropos.

We love this area and we hope you will love it just as much as we do.
